A Facebook fan once called us "A Heaven on Earth for cats", and a visitor remarked "this is the true meaning of a Peaceable Kingdom!" Cats are "at PEACE" here ~ whether waiting for dinner, curled in a private basket, resting outside or inside on a couch with friends or nestled with art materials, each makes their own choices. Perhaps the secret to the harmony is that we accept cats AS THEY ARE. We make no efforts to change their preferences or behaviors, but give equal time and care to the disabled, the feisty, the elusive and the semi-feral, the shy as well as the outspoken. It has been suggested that the cats who share our home somehow KNOW this is their "last chance," and they adapt.
